IQGeo transforms fiber network planning and operations with new Workflow Manager software

Cambridge, 11 July 2024 - IQGeo (AIM: IQG), a developer of geospatial software that is “Building better networks for telecom and utility operators, today launched the new release of its Workflow Manager software that is accelerating rollout and field operations through its unique fiber network model integration. The integration with IQGeo’s award-winning Network Manager Telecom provides the fiber industry’s only solution for directly connecting digital work processes across the planning, construction and operations lifecycle.

The fast and efficient rollout of fiber networks remains a top priority for many broadband operators as they race to secure market share and deploy BEAD funded projects in the USA and other government funded initiatives around the world. Workflow Manager leverages the full power of the IQGeo suite to support any fiber network architecture and adapt as your network, contractors and rollouts change. This integration allows the automatic creation of tickets, tasks, and work orders for any activity or asset, preserving your long-term network and technology investment far beyond your initial build.

Typical workflow scenarios

    • Field surveys
    • Construction management
    • As-built field data capture
    • Fiber service connections
    • Maintenance and break-fix
    • Field inspections

Workflow Manager’s flexible interface makes it easy to create forms for workflows, while its dashboard monitors all active projects and related tasks. The software is firmly rooted in IQGeo’s industry-leading field mobility, providing an easy-to-use solution on tablets for field crews and contractors to execute digital project workflows both online and offline.

“Major fiber deployment projects remain a huge logistical challenge for the industry. We provide a flexible workflow solution that adapts as your network and build requirements change, which is absolutely critical to long-term business success,” explains Jay Cadman, Senior Vice President at IQGeo. “What makes our architecture so unique for fiber operators is how tightly integrated Workflow Manager’s digital work processes are to the fiber network model. Our approach provides a single tool for the network lifecycle that streamlines processes and eliminates data loading and translation issues. Operators are using our workflow tools with initial network rollout and to seamlessly automate workflows across operations and sales to maximize the ROI of their technology investment.”

IQGeo will demonstrate the new Workflow Manager at major fiber industry events in 2024.
